Dolce Casa Cafe is a coffeehouse not far from the Brown Line, in Ravenswood, Chicago, where you can do some beardspotting, co-working, and/or studying. Thrusting your plug into the nearest electrical outlet might require maze-solving, but at least the hot spot and public restroom won’t present challenges.
Bourgeois Pig
Bourgeois Pig café serves up great coffee and has a huge selection of tea. Their cappuccinos are fantastic and their open Wi-Fi is decent. You won’t find out if Fat Sandwich – a nearby sandwich shop – has decent Wi-Fi, because you’ll need both hands to hold their fat sandwiches.

Looking for a flagship café in the Gold Coast, with decent coffee, ample electrical outlets, and free wireless, so that you can get yourself wired, plug yourself in, and do some smart and savvy coworking? Log on at the “Oak & Rush III” Starbucks.

Looking for a West Town (or West Loop) Chicago cafe with good coffee, available electrical outlets, and free parking? With a nearby doughnut? Start out by dropping your knives off at Northwest Cutlery, walk around the block and hit Publican and then Glazed & Infused, then pick up your knives and head to Morgan-Randolph Starbucks to log on to their Wi-Fi so you can work or study.
